As you are all aware Windows 10 has arrived, and many people are upgrading to this newer operating system.
However as with anything in the computer industry there are always a few issues which may arise, We have had a few customers who have been unable to send email after upgrading to windows 10 recieving this error message:
Error message: ‘Mr Jones – Sending’ reported error (0x800CCC13): ‘Cannot connect to the network. Verify your network connection or modem’
This issue may arise with any version of Outlook, good news is the issue is relatively easy to solve!
Here is a step by step guide on how to resolve the issue yourself:
Right click on the Start button of Windows and choose: Command Prompt (Admin)
Once on the prompt type: sfc /scannow
(Remember to put the space between sfc and /)
Press enter and wait for the process to complete – this may take up to 30 minutes
Once the scan is completed you may have to restart your computer
After all this is completed your email should work as before the upgrade to Windows 10, sfc /scannow fixes the issue by restoring critical office files to the correct location after the windows 10 upgrade replaces/removes these key files.
